Dr Nicole Williams

Dr. Nicole Williams is a Clinical Psychologist. The title “Clinical” indicates completion of a Master of Clinical Psychology degree. Nicole has also completed a PhD in Clinical Psychology and is co-director of the Centre.

Nicole has worked in community mental health, children’s welfare, early childhood, child and family health, and with both children and adults in private practice.

Nicole works with people of all stages of life with wide ranging concerns. Nicole works with effective, evidence based strategies to partner with clients to enact change. However, she draws upon a wide range of therapeutic stances in order to provide individual clients with services that suit their particular needs and preferences.

Nicole’s area of particular special interest is the perinatal period (pre- and postnatal), early childhood and parenting. She has worked with many families with very young children regarding behavioural, relationship, attachment and mental health concerns, including postnatal depression and postnatal anxiety. Nicole utilises cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)  with clients experiencing fear and uncertainty regarding their pregnancy and/or birth, or who have had a traumatic birth experience previously are assisted by therapy.

Nicole is also experienced in providing gentle behavioural interventions for families with babies and children who suffer sleep concerns, and worked with Professor Sarah Blunden in her Paediatric Sleep Clinic for a number of years. Such interventions always prioritise the family's own parenting style and do not involve leaving children in distress. Families with children who wake a lot during the night, have difficulty napping, who are difficult to settle to sleep or have fears about being alone at night consult with Nicole.

Nicole is concerned with providing clients with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in which they feel they can share sometimes difficult information. She is committed to providing clinical psychological services in an ethical, confidential and respectful manner. Nicole is dedicated to staying up to date with new approaches and ideas which can be beneficial to her clients through lifelong learning.

Dr Brooke Ferguson


Dr. Brooke Ferguson is a Clinical Psychologist. The title “Clinical” indicates completion of a Master of Clinical Psychology degree. Brooke has also completed a PhD in Clinical Psychology on children of parents with a mental illness. Brooke is co-director of the Centre.

Brooke has previously worked as a psychologist in both public and private settings supporting adults and children. She takes pleasure in supporting people of all ages with their concerns. Her areas of special interest include children of primary school age, along with children with a parent who suffers mental illness, be these infants, children or adults. Brooke also enjoys supporting families in the perinatal period with anxiety, depression and adjustment concerns.

Brooke also has a particular interest in transgender issues in childhood, and we are pleased to offer a LBGTQI friendly practice. Brooke continues her involvement in psychological research through The University of Adelaide.

Dr Kim Tomlian

Kim Tomlian is a Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of experience, developed across both the public and private sectors, working with adults and children.

Kim’s particular areas of interest include the postnatal period, parenting, parent-infant/child relationships, childhood trauma, adult trauma and adult survivors of childhood trauma including out of home care. Following her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology, she has trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches and attends regular professional development sessions to keep up to date. Her training has included the Circle of Security Model and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) with both adults and children. Kim was the first person in Australia to be certified in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), a therapeutic and parenting approach based on attachment and developmental trauma research. She has also completed levels 1, 2 and 3 of the Gottman Couples Therapy training, completing level 3 with John and Julie Gottman in Seattle. Ms Penelope Phillips 

Penelope (Penny) completed her Masters-level training in Clinical Psychology at the University of South Australia in 2013. She is registered as a Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA. 
 
Throughout her career, Penny has worked with children, adolescents, adults and families across hospital, community and educational settings. She is experienced in working with complex mental health presentations, and providing therapeutic intervention to both individuals and groups.
 
Penny’s therapeutic approach is relaxed, warm and genuine. She aims to provide a supportive and accepting atmosphere that facilitates open discussions about topics that may otherwise feel challenging or embarrassing. She is committed to ethical practice and upholding client confidentiality.

Tamara Gray (nee Muller)is a clinical psychologist with over ten years experience working with children, young people, families and adults.

Lexie Ashforth

Elsbeth is a clinical psychologist who has worked across both public and private mental health settings for the past 10 years. Mandy McCallum

Mandy is a Registered Psychologist. She has completed a Combined Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology, and PhD in Clinical Psychology. Her published research is in behaviour change maintenance and the creation of meaningful, lasting changes.

Mandy has experience working with both adults and children treating a wide range of mental health concerns, including panic attacks, generalised anxiety and anxiety-related disorders (including obsessive compulsive disorder), depressive disorders and the treatment of trauma.

Ms Jude Hill 

Jude Hill is a Clinical Social Worker who has attained her Accreditation as a  Mental Health Social Worker. This means that Jude has demonstrated skill and knowledge in providing psychologically based therapies for people with mental health conditions.

 Jude is highly trained in internationally recognised child development programs and also parenting programs. She is accredited as Circle of Security Parenting, parent trainer.

She has worked clinically in the Government in therapeutic counselling roles and more recently as  parent-infant therapist. Jude has extensive experience in working with people who have experienced trauma in their childhood.

 Jude uses a variety of approaches to assist people and their mental health including CBT, Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy.

Ali Knight 

Ali is an accredited Mental Health Social Worker. This means that Ali has demonstrated skill and knowledge in providing psychologically based therapies for people with mental health conditions. Ali has over twenty years of clinical experience and has worked with adults and children in a variety of sectors, including government and non government agencies.

 Ali has a warm, empathic, and respectful approach. She enjoys working alongside infants, children and their families to resolve a range of emotional difficulties. Ali has trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches and attends regular professional development sessions to keep up to date. Ali has specialist skills and training in Child Parent Psychotherapy to address a range of complex mental health presentations in children which include anxiety, symptoms of PTSD and relational disturbance due to early trauma. Ali also draws on other evidence based approaches which include Mentalisation Based Treatment, Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
